• To provide an atmosphere of mutual respect between Service Users and staff and to uphold the dignity of the individual.
• To provide personal care and practical assistance with essential or useful tasks in order to help maintain people safely in their own homes, as independently as possible.
• Ensuring Service Users and their carers are included in service planning at all levels from individual assessment to planning for new services.
• To train employees to further develop their professional care skills, with the aim of improving care provision to all clients and Service Users.
• To promote staff development by individual support and supervision to help them achieve their full potential in the field of care.
• Every individual Service Users care will be well planned and co-ordinated in a way that provides continuity.
• To ensure that each Service User has a care plan which describes in detail how their care package will be provided ensuring that all information is relevant, up-to-date, comprehensive, and understandable?
• To monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of services provided through Quality Assurance visits.
• Advance quality home care and community support by working closely with other professional bodies in social care.
