Nursing Personnel is working on behalf of the lead health organisation that provides services in the community setting.
We are looking to recruit Health Visitors Band 6 to provide a high standard of health visiting services to a defined population. You will provide all aspects of care and information to clients and assist and support staff involved already in the care of clients.
As a Health Visitor you will act as a role model in expert practice supporting the delivery of effective client care by use of clinical judgement and decision making skills.
You will be using quality standards to plan and implement care packages for individual clients families or groups and engage them in all aspects of care planning and delivery.
You will be dealing with other organisations to provide holistic care and provide health advice for other agencies.
As a post holder you will recognise the signs, symptoms and categories of child abuse, be aware of child protection procedures and understand legal issues around child abuse. You will also have a knowledge of policies and procedures for vulnerable adults and be able to recognise symptoms of adult abuse.
You will be involved in health promotion and will provide effective teaching to individual clients.
It is essential that you have excellent interpersonal skills, are able to communicate effectively and act as a good team member.
You need to have proven experience in community setting or health visiting services and have a valid NMC registration. This role would ideally suit a candidate who holds a Health Visiting Certificate or is educated to a Degree/Diploma level.
