Nurse Therapist required for Independent Mental Health Hospital in Manchester.
Our client has a range of services designed to promote independence through rehabilitation and social inclusion, including six independent hospitals and one adult care home with nursing which are registered to provide rehabilitation for adults with mental health problems.
The Role:
Ensure the implementation of a psychological service including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to service users, providing advice and consultation on service users’ psychological care.
To support and facilitate other nurses to use their therapeutic skills, within a formalized case supervision led process.
The post-holder will act as a clinician assisting in the development of high quality responsive and accessible services for service users, by advising PSI Co-ordinators and managers of services on aspects of the service where psychological or organisational matters need addressing.
To contribute to clinical service developments as agreed with the line manager.
Utilise up-to-date theory and research to support evidence based practice in individual work, and work with other team and staff members.
Undertake specific audit activities according to the needs of clients and the service, and to contribute to the provision of an effective, efficient and equitable psychological service and practice.
Qualifications:
Registered Mental Nurse with current NMC registration
BSc qualification in PSI based interventions and CBT approaches
Evidence of high level assessment skills by PSI, COPE other accredited qualifications by port folio of evidence.
