My client seeking to appoint specialist nursing staff for the Integrated Drug Treatment System (IDTS) to the prison populations of HMP Forest Bank (Manchester), HMP Bronsfield Womans Prison (Ashford, Middlesex) and HMP Peterborough. This innovative and exciting service will work in partnership with other healthcare and Criminal Justice Services such as CARATs, Drug Intervention Programme and Probation, community drug treatment services, social care providers and the prison service.

You will work within a team of Substance Misuse Nurses providing a range of clinical treatment interventions. The post holder will have care co-ordination responsibilities alongside screening, comprehensive assessments, care planning and reviews, titration and prescribing services, and other clinical and psychosocial interventions including group work and key working that form part of the IDTS service within the 3 establishments.

You will have excellent communication and engagement skills, and some knowledge and experience of working with substance abusers in order to deliver high quality services in accordance with IDTS specification.
