My Client provides services in partnership with the NHS and other health and social care organisations in both the public and private sectors, and is currently seeking to employ RGN’s to work within one of their Immigration facility Healthcare centres.
The Nurses will be responsible for carrying out competent care and treatment of detainees within the confines of a secure environment and according to healthcare policies, protocols and procedures.

The Key responsibilities for this role will include; participating in healthcare and nursing research under the direction of the Clinical Manager, or the Medical Officer, as appropriate, and within the policy framework of the Healthcare Services Policy and Procedures; assessing individual nursing care needs and developing, implementing and evaluating programmes of care; reporting to on matters relating to patient care to the Clinical Manager and Medical Staff as appropriate; accompanying patients within and out of the establishment in accordance with assessed clinical need; providing emergency cover as appropriate to both detainees and staff; delivering Health promotion to detainees and staff; providing support and counseling to detainees to help alleviate fears/anxieties; preparing regularly scheduled reports and special reports as necessary; acting as “First on the scene” nurse, attending any area in the centre, assessing physical/mental problems and initiating appropriate action; and performing comprehensive assessments both physical and mental on all Detainees as required, and initiate appropriate action, based on good clinical practice and within protocols, policies and procedures

In order to apply for this position, you must be a Registered Nurse and have a valid NMC registration and PIN. You should be able to show evidence of continuing education and a willingness to learn. You must be a competent individual with the ability to work without direct, immediate supervision in performing nursing procedures.
