Main responsibilities: To assist the Senior Ward Manager and Senior Sister in the day to day running of the wards, ensure that high standards of patient care are delivered. Assist in the development of the nursing team. Ensuring patient and Consultant satisfaction. Assist the ward in delivering its current and future business plans

Working hours: shift pattern including some internal rotation

Location: Spire Roding Wards

Salary: £30,000. to £34,000 depending on experience

Qualifications & Training: Registered Nurse, Desirable to have supervisory/management and HDU/ITU qualification

Experience: ability to analyse staff and ward management problems, able to apply clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes. To be able to challenge consultants to influence evidence based practice. Excellent man management skills. Some teaching experience would be desirable
